It’s The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period. Be Careful!!

Anyone enrolled in Medicare will tell you that this time of year is overwhelming. The Medicare solicitations are just ridiculous. Whatever happened to the “Do Not Call List?” With that in mind, there are some important things to consider during this period.

Do Not– Give any personal information, none. They will ask for your date of birth and your Medicare ID#. They don’t need it to check plans, they only need the county you live in to check Medicare Advantage and Part D Rx plan availability.
Do Not– Call the 800 number on TV. Once they have your information, the Emails, Phone Calls and Robo Calls will not stop. Your Medicare Advisor is on Medicare and experimented with this and the correspondence continued for 7 Months!
Medicare Advisor Will Not come to your home uninvited and should not be allowed in if so.
A Medicare Agent Should Not discuss other insurance products like Life Insurance products while on a Medicare appointment.

Just some common sense stuff. Remember, if it’s too good to be  true, it probably is. If you’re happy with your Health Insurance plan, don’t change. If it’s not broken don’t fix it.
