Most people have worked long enough and paid into the system to get their Part A Hospital coverage for Free. Others that have come into the work force late will have to pay. But, How Much? That depends upon how long they paid in for. The Government bench mark is 40 quarters (10 years) and that generates Free Part A.
For 2024, if you worked and paid in for- 30-39 Quarters– Your Premium will be- $278.00 29 Quarters or Less- $505.00
If you’ve never worked at all you can buy Medicare Part A for $505.00 per month.
